Yes, RRPG now transforms to AF RRPD..
The Asian Forum for Rural Research, Planning, and Development (AF-RRPD) was established on July 6, 2018, which is a transformation from Rural Research and Planning Group (RRPG) that had been founded in 2010.

Bali Declaration was announced by Rector of Mahasaraswati University with 17 representatives of 13 universities, governments, professional associations from 6 Asian countries on July 6, 2018 in Bali.
In July 6, 2018, the participants of The 9th RRPG International Conference declared The Bali Declaration to establish the Asian Forum for Rural Research, Planning, and Development (AF RRPD). The Bali Declaration was signed by 17 participants as representatives of 13 universities, governments, professional associations from 6 Asian countries. The AF RRPD has goal to promote 5 main activities agenda i.e. (1) Joint cooperation to develop education for rural sustainable development; (2) Research, publication, and development collaboration; (3) Exchange program for rural resources empowerment; (4) Sharing knowledge and experience in rural policy and planning; and (5) Develop innovative approach and entrepreneurship for rural and regional promotion.
The Declaration becomes a platform of Rural Research Planning Group – RRPG to continue the network as Asian Forum for Rural Research, Planning and Development (AFRRPD). With the new platform, the AFRRPD network becomes more wider and relevant to face the rural change and challenge toward the sustainable development.
The Asian Forum for Rural Research Planning and Development (AF RRPD) is an international platform for meeting and networking among those specialists/experts and practitioners in the field of rural planning and development to discuss, exchange of experiences, research findings and ideas, plan and organize activities for mutual benefit. It is based on volunteerism on the same interest on rural topic research, and development planning practices.
Rural areas with their resources, products, communities, and cultures are important to the development, even in the globalization era. The rural products are the most resources for human life. While, the uniqueness and local wisdom of rural areas have become a rich endless social resource, even for modern life. If we would like to develop human being and improve the urban and regional area, it is important to us also to learn and develop the rural area and its community as well.
